Ylan’s Upshots & Whatnots

Finding a job must still be tough until now. Well it’s not a surprise but it’s good to know that some friends i know who were affected by the economic recession last time are back to their game. When i went to a travel agency to book for my flight somewhere, the agents were all surprised and couldn’t contain themselves from asking about what i do for living. They were thinking i’m someone from the Healthcare Specialists Jobs as apparently these jobs are in demand abroad. I told them i wasn’t and that i work for the engineering discipline. Obviously i’m someone who cannot be in the health care industry because i’m the one who needs utmost care all the time. Nah i can go on with my illnesses but that will just bore you. Lol! To start with, my cough and colds is on and off. Nothing serious? Oh well, there’s gotta be more to that. Don’t worry, it’s nothing fatal!

We left from work earlier than usual today but didn’t go home straight because I went with my friends who went to a mall to pick up some things. I didn’t mind since i enjoy window shopping and strolling in the malls.

I anticipated though watching the next episode of my favorite tv series when i reach home. My favorite character would have to be involved in a volunteer group who does similar tasks as those working in places such as santa barbara drug alcohol rehab treatment center which is i think very inspiring. I can’t imagine a geeky person as her character portraits could have such a very generous heart. It’s a bit late so i’m just gonna watch it in the weekend instead.

I’m glad it’s gonna be Friday already. Got a deadline at work but it means we will not be as busy next week. Hopefully!

My friends are back from Vegas. They went to see the Grand Canyon. I’m too excited for the photos! Grand Canyon is on my must-see-places list. One day, i’ll surely go there if God permits. Meanwhile, gotta go to dreamland and dream away as i have too many tasks at work tomorrow. Lol!

Belated happy thanksgiving to everyone. Thanks to G and L for the yummy dinner, though i miss the turkey! Lol! This year, i have so many things to be thankful of. Thank you Lord!

Geezzz! The company Christmas party is in 2 weeks! And i don’t have a dress/shoes yet! Worst, i haven’t lose a single pound. This can’t be good! I need miracles now or weight loss pills perhaps?

I’m so inspired by one of my friends because she definitely looks slimmer and sexier now, all her efforts are now paying off. Good for her! I can only wish i have the same motivation as she has. When can i ever start with a regular exercise and a healthy diet when all i eat is fried stuff! Sigh. Two weeks? Can something be done within that span of time. Hmnnn….

I got two useless wishes. A walk-in closet and a nice cozy bathroom, one that has clawfoot tubs by bathsofdistinction maybe or something similar. A walk-in closet because i have so many knickknacks i don’t know how to arrange them. I’m not a celebrity with lots of clothes and shoes so i just need a simple one. A tub? Because i love long baths. That’s all. Hahah! Speaking of baths, my back is aching i badly need a hot bath right now so i gotta scoot! Good night! Enjoy the rest of the week!

Are you done with your Christmas list? Here’s something you might want to give your friends or family. What about giving them Black Diamond Z-Poles this time? Pretty slick right? They’re surely love it! But you might not want to give that to me yet! Lol! Now i’m the choosy one. Nah, just that i might not be able to use it anytime soon. I even cringe at the thought of the cold winds, let alone playing in the snow! That’s way too scary! Give me a bike instead! At least i can use it in summer.

It’s been really crazy the past days and weeks. Too many things to do, can’t decide which ones to start first. It helped that i did write down things such a way i knew which ones to prioritize and are finished. I did not even finish my 5-session driving lessons. I missed the last session. I planned to have a bit of much needed relaxation by going to the salon for a manicure and pedicure session but alas never even had a minute for it.

At least i was able to have my hair done and these sugar scrubs came to rescue. Just how i love body massages and body scrubs! Not that you really need to know that, lol!

Start of crazy week at my new job… oh geez!

You know that everything is almost always downloadable in the internet these days. From your favorite artist’s video, a friend’s memorable event, a cooking demo, favorite movie, favorite song, favorite series, etc. A friend of mine even said that while she was away in another country for the last two years, all she did was to download videos from youtube to keep her boredom away.

I wouldn’t say i’m fond of doing it because i’m lazy and i’m impatient but if it’s all about my favorite tv series, oh geez, downloading is my thing!

With so many kinds of insurances being offered nowadays one may find it difficult to understand and identify which one to choose?

It’s just befitting that the insurance provider of the company i’m working for had this orientation last Friday so that the employees are well aware of their benefits, coverage, among others. While it may not answer the big question what is life insurance because i don’t think we have any, it was for sure a great venue for awareness, generally.

But because i’m a late comer i was not able to attend the first session. And because i’m lazy i did not attend the second session either. Silly!

More often than not, we usually give something sexy to our girl friends during their bridal shower party for a gift. I have been to a couple of bridal showers already and it’s always fun.

I bought a baby doll lingerie last time for a friend but while i was wrapping the gift i changed my mind and kept it for myself instead. I just found it too cute and thought i will be able to use it one day. Haha! So i ended up running to the mall again and bought another one. Crazy i know but you can’t blame me especially if it comes in pink.
